New IE Window for Role Center Opening Automatically Every 10 Minutes

Windows 2012 R2 Server, AX 2012 R3 CU8, IE 11, SharePoint 2013 - One of our AX environments has started exhibiting this odd behavior for all users. Whenever a user opens an AX client, they get a new IE window loading Role Center approximately ever 10 minutes.  Most users connect using an AX client on a Citrix server but I have a client on the AOS and I was able to duplicate the issue. I simply opened the client and let it sit. An hour later I had 5 or 6 IE windows open showing Role Center. What can be causing this behavior and how do I stop these IE windows from automatically opening?

    Have you found an answer to this issue?  We are having a similar problem except it only opens in internet explorer for role center pages we have created.  Any out of the box role centers seem to open fine.

    Yes, we found the link below just after I posted the question. Sorry for not updating the post until now.

    Make sure the url specified in SYSTEM ADMIN->Enterprise Portsl->Web Sites in in all lower case!
