    Hi Quartzie 👋

    Thanks for your question!

Creating a view based on SharePoint attachments in Dynamics 365 Sales is not supported directly through standard view configuration, as SharePoint documents are stored externally and not in Dataverse tables that support native views.

✅ Here are a few options to achieve similar functionality:

    1. Use a custom Power BI report

      • Connect Power BI to both Dataverse and SharePoint.
      • Create a report that links records (e.g., Accounts or Opportunities) to their associated SharePoint documents.
    2. Embed SharePoint document location in a custom field

      • Store the SharePoint URL in a custom field on the record.
      • Create a view that filters or displays records based on whether this field is populated.
    3. Use Power Automate to tag records

      • Build a flow that checks for attachments in SharePoint and updates a flag or field in Dynamics 365.
      • Use this field to create a view.
    4. Explore third-party integrations

      • Some ISVs offer enhanced document management solutions that allow filtering and viewing based on SharePoint metadata.

💡 While native views can't directly query SharePoint, combining Power Platform tools can help bridge the gap.

    Hope this helps!

You cannot create a native Dynamics 365 view directly based on SharePoint attachments because they’re stored outside Dataverse.

    Workarounds:

Power BI report – link Dataverse records to SharePoint documents and display them.
Custom field – store the SharePoint URL on the record and filter/views based on it.
Power Automate – update a flag in D365 when attachments exist and create a view using that flag.
Third-party solutions – some ISVs provide enhanced SharePoint-D365 integration for views

This way, you can effectively track or filter records with SharePoint attachments.
