Hi All,

I am getting this error when trying to run any SSRS report in one of the AX environment. The settings under report servers are correct and validate settings did not return any error. Also, the SRSServers table is populated with the required values, but still I am getting this error. Is there anything else needs to be checked?

Thanks,

Baber.

    Hi Baber,

Did you refresh this environment from other system via model store or database restore? If you can try deleting this configuration from AX and check the records in table after sync, does it still exist. You can also try to create new configuration and make it default and see how it goes, I have had this issue once when i refreshed environment from other database and domain was also different in my both environments.

The configuration is set to default and environment is not being refreshed recently.

Does this mean, it was working fine before. Are you able to refesh WCF from config file and also did you try to deploy BIServices and UserSessionServices groups from AOT again.

I can think of deleting XppIL folder, deleting AUC files, configuring reporting services again, delete user settings, try to validate it by running AX as ADMIN.

    Hi Faisal,

I figured out the issue. Actually my client configuration is connecting to different AOS and the report configuration against that AOS was not set to default. So I changed my client configuration to connect to the AOS for which report servers settings are set to default and now the report is running fine.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hi,

You can also create multiple Report Server Configuration in System Administration > Setup > Business Intelligence > Report Services > Report Server

Then point to the same Reporting Server Information but connect to different Application Object Server Information if you are running AX Load Balancing Cluster or running multiple AOS in one AX Environment. Just don't forget to Validate Settings and tick Default Configuration.

Verified that this solved my issue with report server running on a different AOS than my client configuration was connecting to.

I corrected this by using Control Panel / All Control Panel Items / Administrative Tools /  Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Configuration Connection tab.
