On-hand inventory to excel

Hi All ,

The business users use on-hand inventory form to export the required inventory data by applying different filters and they also added some additional fields to on-hand inventory form by personalizing form views in Microsoft Dynamics AX to speed up the data entry or filter for required data.

While exporting the data, they have log out issues or screen freezes every time, which required to log out AX application and re-login.

Do you have any similar experience or what is the root cause of the issue and a possible solution to mend the issue?

    Hello sri17,

    Can't you export all data from the on-hand inventory form and apply the filters in Excel?

    Would that be a workaround that help overcoming the problems you face?

    I'm very interesting to know the reason for logout  and screen freeze issues . Any insights on these ?

    Do all users see the same system behavior or are only some affected by the freezing panes?

    Why not print the on hand report to excel?

    Inventory management > Reports > On- hand > On-hand inventory:

    Select the information to ‘Print’. Use the Select button to setup the filter query for the data you need

    Click the Destinations… button. Enter a filename and select the File format Microsoft Excel:

    Thanks for the reply Magic.

    The form has couple of customized fields and they are not added to standard report , since users required more than 30 fields for reconcilation purpose and management report.
