Database capacity issue with CRM

Dear community,

We moved in 2020 from premise to online with CRM dynamics. We have a test AND a prod app on the same tenant.

The problem is, we have an database capacity allowed of 35.5 Gb but our production database + test DB is more than 47Gb. So we receive more and more warning from MS.

We already cleaned everything : our test platform has almost nothing but necessary to work, and we have asked all our subsidiaires to clean up as many as CRM activity they could (which is the largest table by far).

We're kind of stuck now, we need to keep for legal reason data with customers for years.

What could we do to ? Can we buy more DB space (I don't see any option to do so) ?

thanks a lot for your help

    Hey Victor.

    1. If you or the partner can't access admin.microsoft.com, it might mean you've purchased through a reseller (typically GoDaddy, etc)

    2. If you have a partner, they should be able to provide/Sell any of the "Common data Service Capacity" addons (Common Data Service Database capacity, Common Data Service File Capacity, Common Data Service Log Capacity).

    Regards,

    Hello,

Unfortunately it sounds like neither ourselves or our Microsoft partner have access to this portal. Here is the message I have from them :

"We also don't have access to the Microsoft Admin portal with our accounts, so unfortunately I won't be able to give you access to it either."

    Does it make sense?

    Hi Victor,

Please refer to the following docs: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/add-storage#add-storage-capacity-for-your-tenant

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. In the left pane, select Billing > Purchase services.
    3. Search for "capacity".
    4. Select your products as required: Common Data Service File Capacity, Common Data Service Log Capacity, or Common Data Service Database capacity. Then, select Details
    5. From the Select license quantity box, enter the number of licenses to purchase.
    6. Select your billing frequency, and then select Buy to complete the purchase process.
    7. After completing the purchase process, the additional storage capacity will appear in the Power Platform admin center Capacity page (Resources > Capacity > Summary).

    Good Luck !!
