Changing Outlook Sync Settings

I have an employee whose settings had CRM sync contacts to his outlook contacts.  He ended up having a lot of duplicates and didn't want CRM contacts to be pushed to outlook.  So I changed the Outlook filters for him so moving forward, this won't happen.

Doing this did not remove existing CRM contacts from his Outlook contacts.  Does anyone know if there is an easier way than exporting all contacts from Outlook, removing duplicates, and than re-importing?
