Print Shelf/Product labels from POS/EP?

Hi all,

I have tried to find information regarding shelf and product label printing in the POS or Enterprise portal. We are working with a retail customer that sometimes let their stores create purchase orders (with approval done in HQ), where the products are delivered directly to the store from the vendor.

Therefore, the customer want to be able to print shelf and product labels IN the store by using Enterprise Portal or the POS (no AX client in the stores).

I cannot find anything to use from standard functionality in AX, but does anyone know of some kind of workaround?

    Thanks for your answer.

    By reading through your Bartender-integration, I do not understand how you are working with the printer in the stores. Is the solution depending on that all the stores have AX HQ access?

    Or is your thought that the customer should print the shelf and product labels (and pack them with the purchased products) at main warehouse, and then the products and labels together are to be sent to the store?

    No.   Shelf Label printers at the store is connected and available through internett/VPN.  In the BarTender I keep track of all labels and values of what has been printed. Then a batch process periodically checks is anything has been changed like new items, prices, item texts etc.  If there is a difference, then the BarTender integration will create a new retail shelf label.  Then each store can either just print out new labels, or even just receive the label on their printer each morning.  

    I have a better documentation on retail shelf labels that I can send you if you want.
