Searching dimension values that are e.g. suspended or has a specific active to date

I would like to find (search) all dimension values for one dimension, that are suspended, how do I do that? Same question with alle dimension values that has a specific active to date?

If you aren't interested in legal entity overides, it should be sufficient to go General ledger > Chart of accounts > Financial dimensions, choose your dimension, press Dimension values button and filter data in the form.

Thanks for your reply, but I do not think, that it is possible for the user to do a query on the needed tables - you can´t add table DimensionValueDetails to the query? Am I missing something :-)

Hello,

You can use excel add-in for that particular dimension and its values.

Use overrides entity there and user will see what is suspended to what date for LE.

The form already shows dimension values, therefore there is no need to add another data source.

By the way, I'm not aware of any table called DimensionValueDetails; I think there is only a form of this name (I can't currently verify it in AOT). The main table for dimension values is DimensionAttributeValue.

Thanks, yes thats absolutely a way to do it, but it is more user friendly, to be able to do it in the form, I think. But in the advanced filter you can't add the needed fields, at least not as I see it?

Hi again, and sorry for the confusion about form / table name. Still it is not possible to add the needed fiels in the advanced filter, så I can't do the search in the form, at least not as I see it?

Yes the filter is there, as you show, but it does not work. I have this list, one value is suspended, but a search on suspended values leaves the list as is. Dont you expierence the same? Actually it does not surprise me, it is like i would expect AX to work, but i wanted to challenge that

Aha, that's a different question.

The problem is that DimensionAttributeValue is not joined with the data source with potential values (which may be various tables). It uses a link instead. It means that filtering DimensionAttributeValue doesn't filter the other table as well.

Agree, basic AX knowledge, thats why I wondered why you ment that it is possible. As I said, the purpose of my speech was also just to try if any thing new has happend. Thanks
