Upgrade from AX 3.0 SP2 to SP6 and to AX 2009

Hi,

We are upgrading from AX 3.0 SP2 to AX 2009 after referring documents that direct upgrade cannot done from above SP1, we have done upgrade from AX 3.0 SP2 to SP6. We couldn't find any issues during Upgrade checklist and ran all the jobs in Data cockpit for Pre-Synchronize and Post-Synchronize. Now in the upgraded system AX 3.0 SP6, when we checked the customized tables (new tables created in VAR in SP2) data was updated in all the tables. But for the customized fields (new fields created in VAR) data was not updated. For example we have some customized fields in ProdTable created in VAR in SP2. We understand during Post-Synch data will be updated when there are no conflict field Ids in SQLDictionaryTable.

Can anybody help why data not updated even there are no conflict field id mismatch.

Why are you upgrading to AX2009?

Hi Fredrik,

Even we know upgrading to AX 2009 will no longer be supported by MS. However, client has already purchased AX 2009 license and wanted to go for it.

Anyhow, we have completed Upgrade and gone live. Thanks for your reply.
