How can i restrict vendor for purchasing an item

Hi
 
I have to assign the item to the vendor and that assigned item only can buy from the assigned vendor. so do not make a purchase order rather than the assigned vendor. how to configure it. need your support

    I don't think there is anything in GP core functionality that will help you.
     
    You will need some custom code.
     
    I know we could easily write something with GP Power Tools Developer Tools module.
