Cannot Edit Project Date on Customer Advance

AX 2012 R2 CU7 Project Management & Accounting:

I want to edit the project date on a customer advance I have created, but AX does not allow it, even when I click on edit. How do I do this? How do I influence the project date on a customer advance? My client wants to use the customer advance function instead of on account transactions to track deposits that its own customers pay, because it will be easier to handle gradually refunding it to customers than by using on account transactions. These deposits are held until the end of the project, and the client does not want to have to delete the advance each time project invoice proposals are created. The project date on the customer advance needs to be changeable like it is on the on account transaction.

Any ideas?
