I have lookup of booking on one entity on which booking is coming. But i do't want the booking to show work order number in look up. I want this lookup to show other field of record which is resource. There is resource look up in booking. This look up has been associated with view which has only resource column in it. But when i select the record in look up it changes to work order number. I think this might be because its in msdyn_name field of booking.

Is there a way that i can populate resource of booking in that lookup.. and when clicked on that name it goes to booking record not user record.

Hi Ravi,

As you have already mentioned, you are seeing Work Order Number in lookup on your custom entity because of the field msdyn_name on Booking entity has Work Order Number.

If you really want Resource Name instead of Work Order Number, you need to override this field with Resource Name by using post operation plug-in or workflow. When you click on this lookup it will take you to Booking record, not Resource record.
