Error with VS Development Configuration Form

New... In a F&O environment (not VM), I have just newly added Finance Operation vsix extension to VS2019 but getting errors when creating a new Project. No model or project created yet. It stalls with a Development Configuration Form that errors out once I specify a path folder....

Please help... not sure what step I am missing or doing wrong. Thanks!

Hello Tim Made,

I have not personally have not installed Finance Operation vsix extension to Visual studio.

Did you consider downloading a VHD where you have everything preinstalled ?

Hi Tim,

You can't just install the vsix extension on any Visual Studio environment. You can use development environment which you can deploy via LCS or download a VHD for local development (shared assets on LCS). In these environments the development environment is pre configured for Dynamics 365 F&O. Updates, also for the VS extension, are installed via the service updates.
