Hello to all,

I am using nav 2016 and facing an issue while posting any entry from fixed asset gl journal. It shows you did not mention Gen. posting type. how to solve this.

I will wait for your suggestions.

Thanks.

Since you are using the Fixed Asset G/L Journal, I assume that your Depreciation Book code is integrated to the G/L, correct? Also, do you have the FA Posting Type populated in the journal line that is for Account Type = Fixed Asset, and Account No = the Fixed Asset number? And does the Journal line also contain the Depreciation Book Code?

It should not require a Gen. Posting Type when the FA Posting Type shows the type of posting being performed (such as Depreciation, etc.)

I hope this helps. If my response has answered your question, please verify by clicking Yes next to "Did this answer your question?"

Have you defined the gen. posting type for the balancing account in the GL Account Card Master.
