Printer Selections and Printer Settings

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport

My customer is running 2009 R2 RTC.  If we enter a Printer Selection for a report, NAV opens the correct printer but sets the printer back to factory default settings, while the actual printer on the network has been configured with modified settings.  Has anyone experience in getting NAV to recognize a non-default setup on a printer?

What settings are you referring on the printer ?

Settings from the printer options - from the customer "show portrait  180 degree rotate width 4.25 and height 11.00 with unprintable area right 0.16 selected ok and apply and print the label printed correctly." - when executed through NAV using report selections all of these settings are lost...

I am not sure what is 180 degree rotate but my suggestion would be set width, height and top margins on the report instead of printer. I believe NAV uses settings specified on the report.

The problem is with this printer, and another the customer is deploying, there are settings that cannot be controlled by NAV that are required to successfully print (they are both label printers with specialized labels).  Obviously I'll continue to look for a work around, but I don't understand why NAV ignores the settings while all Office products (easiest test) do not...

Do you have extra printer? If so try it with the extra printer and check if it the problem with printer or with NAV.

I personally think this is a compatability issue with the NAV.

I recently purchased an Epson printer but when I tried to connect it with my windwos10 system, the system is not able to recognize it and show me Epson Printer Error 0xe3 whenever I tried to connect it. Is anyone else facing such kind of error? Any Idea regarding this kind of printer related error?

The printer selection and settings you are discussing are really good to see.  I want to say if anyone faces epson error code 0xf1 then for the proper solution you can contact us.
