Image for a bookable resource

HI,

I am looking for options to upload an image for bookable resources. Is it possible?

So far I tried creating an Image type field and place it on Bookable resource form. Also, I have enabled primary entity as this image for the entity. I wasn't able to check the box on Form Properties though(Show image in the form) as it is greyed out.

After doing all of that, I am able to place this image field on the Bookable resource form and it does give me a upload control to upload image(which is not where I want to see). But I was hoping this image would show up beside the record name at the top. I do not see any icon kind beside the name, is this not possible?

I also tried to at least show the image in header which shows up on the top right of the form. That didn't help either.
Has anybody come across this? Any suggestions or ideas would be great.

Thanks for any help!

    Hi,

Please refer to the following documentation:

Types of fields and field data types with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (on-premises) | Microsoft Docs

You can find a statement in it saying that “You can add an image field to custom entities but not to system entities.”

    Thanks for the response.

So, I was able to place a image type field on the form and was able to upload an image as well. That means, according to the article, I cannot make the entity record has a image beside it's name. Is that right?

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

Yes. Even if the image field has been created and set as primary, it will still not be shown as the "avatar" of the record.

    Hey @meenoo,

Based on the type of Bookable Resource (user, account, contact), it picks images from System User, Account and Contact records and shows in Schedule Board.

Adding another image field on Bookable Resource is kind of redundant. If you'd like to show image in Bookable Resource form, I am thinking perhaps its worth exploring PCF control or embedded Canvas app..
