Hi,
I searching for an easy way to remove a contact out of a static segment. I know that it is possible to remove a contact by navigating to contact --> select the contact --> select the remove from segment option --> choose the correct segment but this does not seem very user-friendly to me.
Therefore I tried to remove the contact from the members tab in the segment area. In the members tab I can see which contacts are part of my segment. Thats why I recognized that someone is added by mistake. Now I want to remove the contact right on this tab. Is this anyhow possible from that area?

honestly, I don't know why it could be so.
To resolve this issue, we can
1) move this discussion to email and schedule a call to see your environment
2) or- even better -follow up with support team, so that they can check the current version of your environment and help to find Add by query button :). In this case I'd ask you to create a ticket and let me know it's number (by email, not here)

This is a plus sign this says "create contact" and another one which says "add contact" but Nothing with query. Do you have any idea what could be the Problem?

these buttons are available by default in the static segment view/Members tab.
Can you share the screenshot of how your static segment window looks like? Below is my default static segment window, right after I have entered it's name and pressed "Save and close"

Hi Elena,
we installed the new version now. However I do not see this "Add" "Add by Query" "Remove by Query" Buttons. Do I need to customize them?

O, I see now. You're probably on December update or something like that?
Because you have the old filter view - now it is replaced by Add by query option.
Do you have the possibility to upgrade tenant to April release - it would help significantly, incl many new improvements both in segments and other areas

thanks for your reply. Unfortuntaly the whole segment tab looks different to me.

as there are many screenshots, I've made it as a document attached. Please have a look and let me know what are you doing differently (as I haven;t completely understood it from the previous description). Hope the way I've done it myself will work for you also.

Just one note: the only thing I have remarked – is that sometimes after pressing “Edit” button for a live segment, I don’t see add/remove buttons on the members tab. When I switch to eg General tab and back they appear. Can you please check and let me know if this a problem of my test environment or you experience the same?
P.S. Interface may also slightly differ based on the version you;re in.

Hi Manuela,
I added my test contact to only one static segment,
however, the "Remove from segments" dialog will directly show all static segment records.
Please also request it to Ideas forum if you think showing related segment of a contact would be a necessary feature.

thanks for your Reply.
How did you remove is from the members tab of a Segment? Could you explain that in more detail? For me there is no option to remove it from the members tab, just to delete the whole contact but I don't want to do this.
If I go to the Defintion tab and edit the Segment I can only disselect the contact that I have added in the Definition tab itself. If I want to unclick a contact that I added via contact --> add to Segment its not possible to uncheck it. There is no error message, but the Checkbox is still checked.
