Cannot Post General Ledger: Offset account must have the type bank for voucher XXXX

Hi All,

I have an issue regarding my General Journal, when i tried to post journal. Im getting the following error message, stated that Offset account must have the type bank for voucher XXXX.

This happened when i tried to post overpaid payment through general journal.

What should i do about this error?

    Could you please check check if the journal names has been check the bank as fixed offset account?

    Hi Adhaa Adnan,

    Please check your GLP journal setup.

    Guess somebody configured this restriction.

    Either change the setup or simply use another GL journal that does not have this restriction in place.

    Hello Adhha,
     
    This error is received when the Method of Payment assigned to the voucher line has the following Payment Control option enabled: "Offset account has the type bank".
    Either uncheck that validation on the Method of Payment, or use a different Method of Payment.
