Hi Guys,

How many GB of space they offer with Dynamics CRM 365 online? Is it 5GB or 10GB?

And how it works? Can we buy just one license? Or we have to buy at least 5 licenses?

Thanks,

Yaqub

    Hi Yaqub Ahmad,

With Dynamics 365 CRM, the default storage limit is 10GB across all instances within a tenant. In addition, Organizations can add more storage to their organization in two ways:

    • They can purchase additional storage from the Office 365 portal at an additional cost per month. Today that cost is $9.95 per GB per month.
    • The second way to increase Dynamics 365 is to add additional Storage. An additional 5 GB of storage is added for every 20 full user licenses. There is no limit to additional free storage other than the technical limit of 5 TB.

An important facts about CRM Storage:

CRM space is expensive, and often clients want alternatives to CRM storage for storing documents, images as these take up most of the space.

We can store such document to other online solution instead of using Notes and Attachment feature of Dynamic CRM

    • SharePoint Online
    • OneDrive for Business
    • Azure Blob Storage

SharePoint storage cost is very small about $0.20 per GB/Month compared to CRM’s $9.99/GB/Month. So, CRM space is around 50 times costlier than SharePoint space.

Azure blob costs about $0.03/GB/month- which is 6.5x less than SharePoint storage cost and 300x less than CRM storage cost.

Here is an easy way to make use of Power Automate (Flow) to manage Notes and Attachment within Dynamic CRM.
