PO Status History

There is a business need to track PO status change dates. (When the status changed from new to released to change order etc.) I tried to build a trigger but it is causing issue with the save process in GP. Is there any way to track this? I have searched the internet for quite a while looking for some answers and I am shocked to find this isn't something many other would need/want. Am I missing something? Is there another way to get to the same information?

We do not track this information directly in GP, but you could possibly use some third-party auditing software to capture these types of changes. I will leave this thread out here for others in the community that maybe have attempted to track similar status changes.
