Real-Time Marketing: Cascading Lookups

Hi,

We are currently migrating our forms to Real-Time Marketing. In our use case, we rely on lookup field filtering — for example, filtering the District field based on the selected Province.

We are aware that this feature is planned to be added later this year in Real-Time Marketing. However, our transition is currently blocked due to the absence of this functionality.

Our question:

Until this feature becomes available, is there any way to implement a temporary workaround, such as using JavaScript or another method, to enable this type of dependent filtering between lookup fields?

We would appreciate any technical guidance or references.

Thanks in advance.

Currently, Real-Time Marketing forms don’t support lookup field filtering out of the box. As a temporary workaround, you can:
    • Use Power Automate or Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls embedded in your form to handle filtering logic dynamically.
    • Alternatively, if you embed the form on a webpage, use custom JavaScript on that page to fetch and filter lookup data based on selections via Dataverse Web API calls.
    • Another option is to create custom PCF controls that mimic dependent lookup filtering and embed them into your forms.
These approaches require custom development but can replicate dependent filtering until the native feature arrives.
