Management Reporter Branches Greyed Out

Posted on by 2,485

Forgive my ignorance on Management, I'm VERY new to it.

I do have a problem that I can't figure out.  When I run a report at the top of any level, it runs as it should, but all of the supporting branches are greyed out.

If I click on any of the branches, it says "This view was not processed." and I cannot drill down any further than the top or consolidated branch.

I'm stumped.

Thanks.

You made somthing ring in my brain.  The way I originally had the report set was to include all items. I saw something that said you could change that to select at run time.  I forgot that I had changed it.  Now that I changed it back to select all items, it is working as I had expected.

Thanks for making me remember that one little thing that changes everything.

    So much to learn...

    On to the next question...

    Much appreciated.

If you are only selecting the top unit of the tree, that's the only unit you'll be able to see when you generate the report.  Since only that unit was selected, you'll only see data for that unit.  If you wanted to see data for all the units, you'd need to select them when you generate the report.  Any unit not selected will be grayed out and you won't be able to drill into it.

You can be prompted to select units when you generate the report by clicking the Settings tab and then selecting "Select units at runtime".  Then when you generate the report, you'll get a window with the tree structure.  You can select all the units or CTRL + click and select specific units.
