Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I am new to Microsoft Teams and I am currently trying to configure Teams VoIP for my organization. Our goal is to integrate it with Dynamics CRM for insights. However, we are facing some confusion regarding Teams licensing, and we are not sure which one to go with.

As a newbie to MS Teams, I would really appreciate it if any expert in this community could explain the Teams licensing in a short/brief manner. Specifically, I would like to know which license is suitable for Teams VoIP and Dynamics CRM integration.

Your expert opinion would be highly valuable to me and my team. Thank you in advance for your help and support.

Hello! I'm happy to help you understand Microsoft Teams licensing in a concise manner.

Firstly, there are different types of licenses for Microsoft Teams. The most common ones are Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 Apps for Business, Microsoft 365 Enterprise E3, and Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5.

For Teams VoIP and Dynamics CRM integration, you will need a Microsoft 365 Enterprise license. More specifically, you will need either the Microsoft 365 Enterprise E3 or Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5 license.

Both of these licenses come with the full Teams experience, including all the features for VoIP calling, as well as access to Dynamics CRM insights and analytics. The difference between the two licenses lies in the additional security and compliance features offered by the E5 license.

It's important to note that licensing requirements can vary depending on your organization's size and needs, so it's always best to consult with a Microsoft representative or a licensed Microsoft partner to determine the best licensing options for your specific requirements.
