How to make custom business process flow as default for opportunity form?

Hi,

I have one customized business process flow for opportunity. What I want is to replace the default BPF of opportunity with the customized one. But I don't know how to do this. I have tried to deactivate the default BPF but it is removing the default BPF but not showing the default one that I made. Also, when I try to switch the default opportunity process in the opportunity form its also not switching the process.

Can someone please help me in how to achieve this?

Thanks,

Waleed Bin Afzal.

Also don't forget to add the BPF to the model-driven app. It's an option on the top right when you open the app.

I've done all the above suggestions, plus mine, but my BPF still doesn't show as default so if there's anything else to do please let me know!

    Hi Waleed,

    Settings on Business Process Flow:
    1. Open BPF
    2. Click on Order Process flow on the top ribbon of BPF.
    3. You will be able to see all the BPFs created for an Opportunity.
    4. Select the one you want to make default and click on Move up green arrow to move it on the top of the screen. Click ok.
    5. Save and Update the BPF

When a new record of an opportunity will be created, the default BPF (which resides at the top position in Order Process Flow) will be applied to that record
For existing records, the default will not be applied directly, "Switch Process" under Processes ribbon button on the record will have to be used to select an appropriate process.

There are many options you have , you can deactivate other BPF if you don't need. In addition to above answer you can also switch process using JavaScript or workflow -

    Hi,

Please check the Order of the BPF. It looks like the default one is set to be appearing first over the one you created.

    1. On any of the business process flows, look for Order Process Flow

    2. Then, arrange the one you want to show first.

    3. Remember, this also depends on the Security Role enabled for the BPF (ones who have the security role will access the BPF(s))

    Hope this helps.
