CRM 365 - How to add JavaScript on select of a record in LIST in dashboard?

Hi

I am aware of onRecordSelect event https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/model-driven-apps/clientapi/reference/events/grid-onrecordselect

that we can add in an editable sub-grid in a form.

I am trying to do the same in a list in Dashboard, can you advise how can I make it work please?

In a dashboard I have a list, when I select a record in the list I want to open a record in CRM.

Regards

Arj

Pardon, Business Rules on Dashboards list actually doesn't work:

    Hi,

    you could use:

    * Business Rules with scope = Entity, the BR logic will run and work fine only on view columns

    * Security Field (Column) profile = set the column read-only by security restriction

    Hi,

As I know you can't implement this scenario using suppoted code. You can construct your own view using some html/js.

    Good luck.

    Hi Akash

I am aware of the way to add editable grid in Dashboard.

In Dashboard list, I am not able to add an event. Like onRecordSelect event if you know what I mean.

    Thanks

    Hi Partner,

Inorder to add editable subgrid, you can navigate to  Settings > Customizations > Customize the system > Dashboard > Sales Activity dashboard > Select List section > Double click on List section -> Control Tab > Ad control ->  Add editable grid. Here's a screenshot for reference
