Produce Assemblies on diferent locations

Hey all,

We want to produce 1 assembly on 2 different locations in the same site/factory.
System only allows me to have 1 active route per site at the same time.

Situation is as follows:
We produce a 'sub assembly' that is used in 2 different area's:

  • in the main assembly.
    • Set as item in the BOM of the main assembly
  • in a sales pack
    • Set as phantom in the BOM of the sales pack, sales pack also includes packaging

I prefer to have 1 active BOM (to prevent change management mistakes), and possibly more active Routes.
Reasons to split are better internal logistics and better planning per area.

Hope somebody can advise me how to setup

BR Dirk

    Hi Dirk,

If you are using Production orders you can change the route when you are about to create the production order.

    Kind regards,
