Can't get Dynamic Worksheet to Refresh Data from CRM - Please Help

Refreshing data in excel from a Dynamic worksheet will not work for me

I have tried exporting as a dynamic worksheet in Chrome, Edge and IE.   In Chrome and IE all the data in the spreadsheet disappears when I click Refresh All and in Edge nothing happens when refreshing.

I am using Excel 365 Version 2104

Dynamics 365 On Premise version 9

Does anyone have any ideas that can help get this working? It would be such an amazing feature if I could get it to refresh from CRM.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I am having a similar issue but I hit refresh and it removes all my data.  If I adjust the setting to refresh when open, it removes all the data and it never repopulates.  The connection exists and I don't receive any errors.   I can see that it is "loading" in the lower left corner but nothing.  I have to export another dynamic copy.  Did you ever figure out what was happening?

    Thank you,

    Jessica

Are you using on On prem or online? Since mine was on prem I needed to create a data connection in excel with the login credentials to CRM.  It worked but you have to do it every time which is annoying.

I started just using a template to work out of Excel and then import in.

We are on-Premise also.  I did that in the connection query and edited it and logged in but I get an error and it never lets me get any farther. It’s the errors that say download log or cancel but download is greeted out so I can’t even tell what is happening. Do you have an outline of your steps? If I may ask.

How did you make your template?

    Thank you!

Still an issue an no answer.  I found other posts that mention java script, others mention the app for outlook which shouldn't be a connection to excel.  Any thoughts anyone :)? Set Chrome as browser and can edit the connection, but it also says there is an issue with a connection to the data source.

I am glad you found a work around.

I did try that however the login page either never loads or when it does it breaks.  Of course a lot has broken since IE 11 went EOL.  But I was hoping there would be a way to get the login page to prompt.  Here is what I see the majority of the time.  I get login page 1 out of 200 times.  Maybe I am missing something.
