Has anyone used an auto charge with a type of External? This is a new function added in 2012 R2 and I can't find any information onilne as to what it does. Based on the code it looks like it might be a part of retail. Does anyone know what this is ued for and if it is specific to just retail (and ecommerce/POS)?

I have the same question (0)The Auto charges is a standard functionality to add Automatic charges to the Customers/Vendors for the SO & PO's, so it is not specific for Retail Vertical.

The external option as defined is used only by the carriers integration to add additional charges to the SO/PO.
