Simulated Production Order - Start Date is using past date like May 15, 2014 but due date is June 6, 2014

We created Simulated Production Order using Lanham Advanced Forecasting for Item A - we noticed that for this Item A - the start date is always created with a Past Start Date like May 15,2014 but the due date is June 06,2014.

We think this has something to do with how NAV Manufacturing is calculating the start date - can someone help me understand how NAV Manufacturing determine the start date of a simulated production order?
