Yesterday I've encountered very strange thing in D365, Feature management module.
My understanding is that after each platform or PQU update new features are added in D365 with different statuses - /On by default/, /Mandatory/ and so on.(automatically)
We were trying to enable some required features for the /Tax calculation/ functionality, however 1 of them was missing even though in the test environment that is on the same version as prod the feature was present.
But the result surprised me a lot.
200+ were added and a lot of them pre-enabled.
After checking more i noticed that for the last couple of updates nothing was actually added in prod from feature perspective (10.0.38 and 10.0.39).
In the UAT environment this is not the case and after each update we receive the features automatically.
Any idea what may be the case here ?
As you can understand this can and most probably will create many questions and possibly issues.
We reached to Microsoft already, but i am wondering if you have any similar experience.
