Uploading lnk file to production route as attachment

Hi,

I am having some issues uploading lnk files to my production routes. Instead of uploading the lnk file, AX is following the path of the lnk file and uploads the original document instead.

The purpose of this is to always get the latest revision of the document from our document handling system, and to open the document at specific pages based on production routes.

Is there any easy way to fix this so that the lnk file gets uploaded instead of the original file that the lnk is linking to?

You could use the attachment type URL instead of uploading an actual shortcut document to an attachment type of document.

If you haven't got a document type of "URL" you can go to the document settings under org. management setup and add one.

    Hi,

And thank you for the quick reply.

I have tried with URL, and it almost works. The thing is that when you use "File://" in the URL, the page command (#page=4) does not work when its opened in the internet browser. I have no idea for why this is the case.

So instead small script was made to open shortcuts at bookmarks or specific page numbers, but AX does not seem to want lnk files even though its added in accepted file types.
