how to send email when a field changes its value

Hi All,

In Dynamics Nav we have this notification field where emails being send to people when  they are registered to approve Purchase orders.

If you see in the picture that when the status is ready it means that notification emails are working perfectly . But sometime emails tend to get broken for no reason and that status field changes the error or in process ..

So is there a way to send emails to myself ( i am a newly graduated IT )  when the status changes into anything other than ready so that i can give attention to it ?

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks in advance already !

You need access to the development environment. Please check the image, I have used a codeunit to check for the Job Queue for Errors and then send an email notification to the person and set the job on Hold. I have setup to run this codeunit in the job queue.

    Hi,

Or as an alternative to Suresh, you could add a Subscriber-Function on the Field Status of the Job Queue Entry-table.

That subscriber-function would trigger an Email when the Status changes to Error.
