Can't see gls or glp layer after copying .aod files

I copy both gls and glp layers (.aod) files to my Appl directory, but I keep not seeing them inside Dynamics Ax 2009.

Could be something about the license?

I'm using Ax2009 SP1 and Rollup 5.

Thanks.

    Generally this happens at times.

    1. Stop service Remove all your custom layers like usr etc.

    2. Remove .aoi file.

    3. Start vanillla version of Ax

    4. now stop service and add all the new layers like gls, glp

    5. start the service again, you must be able to see them.

    casperkamal thanks for your answer.

I tried those 5 steps you said and still nothing.

I tried the same in other enviroment and it works perfectly.

Even after copying both files and run de service I can rename or move both files from the Appl directory. It seems Ax is not even detecting the files.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Have you checked in your user options that you show all layers. May be the layers exists but you only show the top level layer.

Do you have any error when compiling AOT?

    Best regards,

Thanks casperkamal and Mohamed for your help.

There was a problem in Ax between the first installation of one aod (var layer), the rollup 5 and the aggregation of the gls and glp layer.

I had to rollback all my virtual machine to its vanilla version of Ax.

    1) Copy all aod

    2) Run update wizard (Now I can see gls and glp layers detected)

    3) Install rollup 5

I think it is resolved now.
