Hi Gurus
Can anyone advise on how to roll out hotfixes using Azure DevOps? I'm struggling to understand the work flows involved and the docs.microsoft.com doesnt explain this at all well.
thanks
Darren
If you mean Microsoft hotfixes, then Azure DevOps is not involved at all in the process.
If you mean your own code, then Azure DevOps can be used for following:
1) Maintain your source code in source control
2) Trigger builds
3) Upload deployable package (result of build) to Lifecycle Serviecs
4) Deploy the package from LCS to a test system
On which topic would you like to get more information?
Process of applying metadata hot fixes is explained in the article below
docs.microsoft.com/.../install-metadata-hotfix-package
Hi,
I don't think the link shared by Sukrut to apply individual hotfix is possible anymore for version 8.1 onwards.
Take a look at latest MS docs at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/migration-upgrade/download-hotfix-lcs
You need to apply quality updates using LCS.
The link shared by me is not possible off course for the latest releases it was valid for version below 8.1
Because now platform and Application updates are combined , you can import a single package in to your project asset library and apply to your environments using LCS. You can get more inf from the link below
