Entity not updating on Portal Refresh

Hi Community,

I need your help regarding Dynamics 365 portal, upon creating a new entity, the portal seems not updating

I use liquid template to display record dynamically, but somehow it is not updating even I reload the page.

Currently, i refresh the cache using this /_services/about url everytime.

I just want to know if there's any other way to achieve this.

I already use Change Tracking in Entity settings, and also trying to use /Cache.axd but i am still not successful since upon checking there is no file found.

Could you help me with this?

Hi JSarcilla,

Firstly make sure your current logged portal user has been assigned web role that has permission to your custom entity.

Could you share or just tell me what your liquid code for ?

In my test demo, I create a fetchxml query to display my book entity record, and it also not updated in my attemps below:

- I refreshed page, logged out and sign in again

- I switched another browser, and tried on mobile phone

Then I tried to change fetchxml logic, just change order by to ascend, finally newly added data display.

you could try to make a slight change to your liquid code, then test whether data could update.

Currently im using entityview tag

e.g {% entityview my_view = logical_name:"someThing", name:"someThing" %}

{% assign someThing = my_view.records | where: 'someThing.Id', contact.parentcustomerid.Id %}

Hi JSarcilla,

It seems that working with entityview tag also got slow update performance from my test,

please try to make some slight modification for the view in Customization > Entities, (I added 2 columns for the original view)

then save and publish it again to see whether data could update.(It updated immediately after I had published)

can you let me know if your issue is resolved and how did you resolve it.

displaying an entity list on portal similar to code provided in below link and on page refresh newly created record is not displayed.
