Oppourtunity "StatusCode" and "StateCode" are numeric in data, but in forms and views, they show as text e.g. "Won" and "Lost"

Morning,

I'm new to Dynamics 365 and I've been struggling to find the answer to this question. When I am looking at the underlying data to perform some reporting, I can see that some fields, e.g. Opportunity "StatusCode" and "StateCode" are numeric in data, but in forms and views, they show as text e.g. "Won" and "Lost" - how do they achieve this mapping/transformation and where can I see it in the App settings/customisation ?

Go to settings>>customisation>> expand entities>>opportunity>>fields>>statuscode or statecode>>click to open
