Hi all,
I am trying to install a Dynamics AX 2012 on a VM. The details of OS and SQL are as follows :
OS : Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
SQL Server : SQL Servere 2008 R2 SP1
When I try to install it passes the validation page and then when I go to the models selection page basically it hangs for quite some time and a pop up this throws "Un expected error. Please view logs....".
When I see the log I see this error :
2014-11-21 22:14:58Z Exception: System.Runtime.Remoting.RemotingException
2014-11-21 22:14:58Z Message: Object '/37fd3de3_8c42_4fae_9582_050f5c349434/lvyukikmj0nydit1bimlj7un_4.rem' has been disconnected or does not exist at the server.

I have seen the prerequisite and I see that I have all that is required. I am not sure of this has to do something to do with VM configuration or something.
Please suggest.

Hi Umesh,
It is all on one VM so all are on one box.
Anyweays resolved the issue. Looks like the issue was network (Trying to install from a network share). Executed locally and it worked :)

Hi Girija,
Install the SQL with the Same AOS server account which you will be using to install the AOS after you install the DB and check.
Hi
Try to have a look to this thread stackoverflow.com/.../object-has-been-disconnected-or-does-not-exist-at-the-server-exception
Hope it help you.
Hi Andre,
I am an administrator on the system.
The SQL Server (Database engine is running on Network Service). I can access the SQL Server through management studio.
Do I need any other permission ?

Hi Girija,
Please check of you have all required permissions to install the software and also permissions on the SQL server.
