Hi everyone,
I have a requirement in Dynamics 365 Portal to bring all the Cases which are related to the Account as below:
1. The logged-in Contact in the Portal has the Account lookup on it say "ChildAccount".
2. This ChildAccount has one more lookup on it say "ParentAccount".
3. Now I want to bring those Case records related to all the hierarchy of "ParentAccount" value.
So, I am planning to have a new lookup on Contact itself to get the "ParentAccount" value directly on the Contact. So that, we can make of the Account Scope in the Entity Permission record and get the cases with Account Scope.
But the issue is that the CRM internally references the "parentcustomerid" of the logged-in Contact in the Account Scope. I want to change this to reference my custom Account lookup so that I can bring the cases related to the Account that I want.
Could this be achievable in any way? Please suggest your thoughts on this.
Thanks.
I have never heard of anything like this is possible. I would recommend you to get expert advice from official Microsoft Dynamics support team. They can guide you with something relevant on this.
Regards,
Lewis
