Dear all,

I have issued about deployed model in D365FO Tier2 environment.

I have some models in development environment:

  • Model A
  • Model B
  • Model C
  • Model D

I want apply only Model A.B,C for Tier2 environment,

In the first time for deployment, I created deploy package(included Model A,B,C) in development and applied update for Tier2 environment.

But yesterday, developer X in my team deployed new deploy package(Model A,B,C,D).

So today I could not deploy package in Tier2 with Model A,B,C.

Could you please advice me how to remove Model D in Tier2 environment?

P/s: I searched in MS page, create a file is named ModelToRemove.txt in package\AOSService\Scripts folder.

But I still could not resolve problem.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same question (0)

The file should be named ModuleToRemove.txt, then it will work.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../uninstall-deployable-package

In newer Self Service environment type you never need to remove any modules: a package deployment always creates a new instance in the background so anything that was not in your package is "removed". This "All in one" package will be forced on all Tier2+ environments in October, as you might have noticed in the announcement in LCS (it's been shown for a few months now).

By the way, you should create your deployable packages via build pipeline, not in a dev system.

    Thank you for your answer.

I would like to confirm about create deployment package.

On step 3 of MS: Create a valid deployable package, and put the ModuleToRemove.txt file in the package\AOSService\Scripts folder.

When I create a valid deployable package, which model include in this package:

    Option 1: Model A,B,C,D

    Option 2: only Model A,B,C

    Could you please advice me?

When I tried to upload deployment package to Asset library in LCS, the error is displayed.

Validation status: Invalid - ModuleToRemove.txt is not valid

Your response sounds like the problem hasn't been resolved, but this thread already has a verified answer. I guess it shouldn't be marked as

    answered.

It sounds like the content of ModuleToRemove.txt isn't valid. Can you please show us what you have there?

    Dear Martin,

    Thank you for your reply.

The content of ModuleToRemove.txt has only model name inline (For example: ModelD)

Don't you use the display name by mistake?

Do you meet all prerequisites mentioned in documentation?

The name that you put in the file should be the same than the folder name of your package in PackagesLocalDirectory.

Also please make sure that you don't have any empty lines in your txt file.

For example if you type the model name and press enter, the file has now two lines, and the second one is empty.

    Dear Martin,

The folder name of my package is ModelD, and the text put in the file is ModelD
