Asset leasing import framework

Hi,

We are planning on implementing the Asset leasing feature on a customer so I am investigating the functionality's full capabilities and am struggling with a specific part of it: Lease import framework. Our customer wants to import old leases and the best solution seems to encompass using this import framework, however I can only find little information about it.

I understand that we should do it via Data Management and that there are 3 files that we should import: Lease staging, Payment contract staging and Executory contract staging. However, I do not have any information on what the structure of these files should look like and what kind of data should be inserted.

Can anyone help me with this?

    Hi Maflda,

    There are several standard entities that existed for Asset leasing modul in D365FO:

    In order to import data for the entities, you can create the first record manually and then export it with data management to excel as a template. Then you can update the Excel file and import data.

    For example on AssetLeasing entity, BorrowingRate, CommencementDate, CurrencyCode, LeaseGroup,LeasId, LegalEntity, MonthofUsefulLife, FairValueOfsett, ImportId,BookTableBokkType are mandatory and must be filled out. When you create the first record manually, you can easily find the fields that you need to fill out with values for import data job.

    Hi Alireza,

    Thank you for your response.

    I have tried exporting through data management by choosing the 3 entities that I mentioned before (Lease staging, Payment contract staging and Executory contract staging) but no data is retrieved. Which data entities should I choose?

    Hi Maflda,

    Have you tried to create first record manually? Then you can export entity "Parent leases", "Payment schedule contract" and "Executory cost contract".

    I used the entities you mentioned and I was able to both export and import the leases.
