Probably it is related to a credit limit check, recalculation on credit limit or customer aging snapshots. Can you verify if he is executing such tasks?
Updating of recversion only, nothing else

User A is only able to do order creation and posting. Does not have access to update customer master. What happens is that once a week I see in db log that he has updated 3000 customers in just 5mins. There isnt any batch job to update customer master.

Can you elaborate? What access does this user A actually has? Is it updating all customer records or just one or a few?
