How to set up for calculating Estimated cost and Estimated Margine on the quotation form.

Hi all,

I have following problems regarding the quotation form.

 1. I set the standrd cost in advance for the item.
 2. I created a new quote and added item to the detail line.
 3. Then "Total Amount" field is updated but "Estimated Cost" field and "Estimated Margine" field are not updated (blank).

How can I set up those fields ("Estimated Cost","Estimated Margine") to be calculated.

Thanks.

    Hi Taro,

Can you share the screenshot of your quotation form? I unable to find these (Estimated Cost & Estimated Profit) in OOB CRM. Are these custom fields.

To answer your questions about how to calculate, you have multiple options depending about the calculation you wanted-

    1. Create a calculated field

    2. Or you could use business rule and use formulas to set the values

    3. Or, use workflow to set field values

    4. or, use JavaScript for calculation

But like I said above, the option depend upon what is teh calculation you wanted on these fields.

    Hi Ravi,

Thank you for your reply and Suggestion.

Sorry, I made a mistake about the name of fields.

"Total Amount", "Estimated Cost", "Estimated Margine" are correct. (I have already updated)

    I pasted my screenshot below.

    Hi Taro,

These fields seems related to field service version/solution (and not sales). Unfortunately I do not have expertise on field service so won't be able to help you here.

Could you please change your version from sales to field service so that someone else with field service expertise can help you.

    sorry for the confusion :(

Have you tried pressing the 'Recalcualting opportunity' button in the Ribbon bar at the top? Does it change the values then?
