Exporting PO line data but need reference to header status

Hello:

Is it possible to use the OOTB Purchase order lines data entity but be able to reference a purchase order header field? What I'm ultimately trying to do is export PO lines whose header status is 'draft'. Thank you.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi ichiban,

You can export both purchase order header V2 and line entities while purchase order line entity doesn't have "Status" field.

You can either create a custom entity for your purpose or export purchase order header V2 and lines entities and then create the report in Excel by creating a filter against status.

    HI Alireza,

Thank you for the suggestions. I'm hoping to be able to avoid having to export all purchase order lines and headers, so it seems like the best approach would probably be to build a new data entity which includes both the lines and headers. In such a case, would you happen to know if it is still possible to use the same new entity to update line data?

    Hi Ichiban,

You can try to create a custom entity by reusing "Purchase order line v2" and add status field and get this value from purch table.

    Hi Alireza,

Are you saying I would create a data entity based on Purchase order line v2, then add a field which then would reference code to retrieve the Status field from PurchTable? I've seen the article you linked, and I don't recall there being any details of how to add such a field. Would you have any reference code? Also, would this field then be filter able on the Data management job?

Thank you so much for your assistance so far!

    Hi ichiban,

I would suggest you create a new entity similar to PurchPurchaseOrderLineV2Entity. You could probably duplicate this entity, changes the necessary properties - "Public collection name", "Public entity name", "Staging table" etc. You can then add PurchTable as a data source under PurchLine, add a range on the Status field and set the value to "Draft".  Since you are looking to export only purchase order lines, this entity will filter the records for you automatically.
