No. Series required for Physical Inventory Orders?

Hi. Noticed in 26.5 W1 BC, we cannot create Physical Inventory Orders without first creating a No. Series for them, and assigning it in for use in Inventory Setup. This wasn't previously required, I've still got Physical Inventory Orders available that have no No. Series assigned.
Creating and assigning it resolved the errors.

Cannot find when this was changed in the update logs, any info?
I have the same question (0)

This should have been available when the feature was released.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hello,

There’s no documented feature change in 26.5 regarding Physical Inventory Orders — the official update notes explicitly state “Feature changes: No changes.”, so this behavior isn’t listed as a new feature or breaking change. What likely happened is a tightening of validation logic (introduced earlier and now consistently enforced), meaning a No. Series is now strictly required in Inventory Setup before creating Physical Inventory Orders, whereas older records created before the validation change were allowed without it. So this appears to be a standardization/validation enforcement rather than a documented functional change.

    Regards,
