Is it possible to do a trigger based on a field value or change?

In a customer journey, we need it to stop and wait until a particular field in the record for that customer is updated before continuing or timing out. I assumed that the Records Change tile may do this, but it seems like it's looking at ALL records in a particular entity for a field change? Is there a way to limit it to the record associated with the customer on the journey?

we only want the customer to move forward once they have given us certain information, unfortunately the form is on a wordpress site and not directly connected to dynamics. The form data is being passed to us via an API call to dynamics

    workflow is a kind of Dynamics enhancement, you could use it to build your solution based on field level change event.

    Sorry I am not very familiar with Dynamics, is a workflow different from a customer journey?

    You can use Workflow and Plugin to build your trigger based on field level change
