Hi,
I have two operational legal entities in AX2012 R3, and I need to remove one legal entity from system with all transactional financial and configurational impacts such as [purchase, sales, transfer, production, retail ] and setups I want to know that what would be the steps to be taken in system to do this activity.

Change to the required legal entity, open AOT and run class "SysDatabaseTransDelete" to delete transactions and then change the legal entity to anything different than the one you want to delete, try deleting the required legal entity(Organization Administration - Setup - Organization - legal entities), if the legal entity belongs to a organization hierarchy the delete button will be disabled.
Note that Data in tables shared with other legal entities will not be deleted.

Deleting LE is not possible, you can make the ledger period on hold for future transactions.
