    Hi,
Depending on the issue you described, we recommend that you follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
    1. Confirm the Legal Entity field: First, ensure that the query of the data entity includes the Legal Entity field. Make sure the field is properly set in the query and associated with the relevant data source.
    2. Add the range: In the range field property of the data entity, configure the correct range for the Legal Entity field. Ensure that you use the correct operator (e.g., "==", ">", "<", etc.) and value (such as the legal entity code) to define the range.
    3. Validate the range: Test and validate the data entity using the defined range and check if the returned data complies with the defined Legal Entity range.
    Best regards,
    Kevin

    Hi Waed,

This question seems to be a continuation of your previous question. Journal template Export - Dynamics Community Forum Thread Details

You first would need to have a data entity being able to handle the dimension values as per your requirement. Like mentioned before, the dimension values is stored in a global data. You would need to link several tables in an entity to get a list of active dimensions for a particular legal entity. I have no experience with this specific requirement, so providing some thoughts only.
Once that entity is working, you can check to extend the current dimension values entity used for the lookup or override the settings to link your entity to be used for the lookup. Also mentioned before, it isn't the easiest topic to work on. Instead of focusing on the lookup, you can also rely on the validations when records are published to the journal lines.

I'm sorry, but I still didn't tell us how you tried to add the filter, so I'm unable to say what's wrong with it. You also didn't tell us whether you tested your entity before using it in Excel. Please be more specific.

Entities are normally filtered by the current legal entity. To be able to filter by legal entity and show data for a different than the current one, you need to make a query across companies. Is it the case?

In short, we need to know what you're doing and how you tried to add the filter.
