Business and credit info within CRM

Is it possible to integrate Hoovers, DNB or Experian type services into CRM?  Is there any free basic level included as Salesforce does?  We want basic info such as company size, revenue, incorporation year.  Nothing much more than that.  We really want info for accounting/credit not necessarily for sales reps.

    Hi Trace,

Yes, it is possible and there are a couple of options.

    1. InsideView (IV). Is similar to Hoovers and displays business and social data from many different sources inside of CRM with associated company and contact records. Recently Microsoft licensed IV data and has renamed it Social Insights, powered by InsideView. If you have Professional edition, Social Insights will appear automatically within your CRM accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities; and it is included at no additional charge.

If you have CRM on-premise, IV will be available for a subscription fee and will not be called Social Insights or be available directly from Microsoft. IV does have a 30 day eval so your can check it out before you buy.

IV does have limited Equifax data available for companies, however, it is not full credit check/validation services, for that you have to go directly to Equifax or D&B.

    2. DNB360 (Hoovers/D&B) is similar to IV and displays their data for companies and people inside of CRM. This is a fee subscription required. I am not sure if they have a free trial. Note this is not their full on business credit check but does have some of that data. For credit checks there are additional fees and different website (it's not available inside of CRM).

    Hope this helps.
