Setting up calendar for a bookable resource with different services on the same day

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Is it possible to create calendar for a user for different services on the same day

For Example: If a user has skills like Plumber, Electrician and Technician and that user wants to work on particular skill on particular timing. Is there any way to configure that?

First, let me provide you some links to bookmark: 1)  [View:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/common-scheduler/schedule-anything-with-universal-resource-scheduling:750:50]

    2) [View:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/field-service/configure-schedule-board:750:50]

The bottom pane of the schedule board is the booking requirements pane.  You will find these views in the solution:  Entity - Resource Requirement.  Here is where you can create new requirement views to show up on your schedule board.

When on the schedule board you can either update the existing board or click + to add a new one.  This is in the upper right-hand corner on the schedule board.

It opens this window.  Scroll to bottom to the Requirement Panels and enter a name for your new view and select the Resource Requirement view you created.  You can also opt to hide the default views.  Once you do that, hit the + to add to the schedule board view and then click apply.  That should do it.

You can create different schedule boards to book based on type of work order, skill etc.  you will need to create multiple resource requirement views and configure the schedule boards appropriately. Let me know if you need screenshots to help guide you.

I'm looking to see this on schedule board as well as I'm going to retrieve it in CRM SDK (C# Code) to access in our own application.
