Compilation issue

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

We are using Dynamics Nav 2015. For these days we have the following compile issue, two-three times per day (not certain time). Error page no. always different. When we it happened, all the users will get this error when they try to open page in Nav.

What we can do is recompile all the pages objects, and restart Nav instance. It will works for a few hours. Any body has this issue before? Thanks.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply.

    No, we didnt update it.

Also our user are using virtual desktop which are under limit permission to update anything.

This is very wired, is there any way we can check the actually error message?

    Thanks a lot!

did you update your nav binaries with a cumulative update? if yes, you maybe did not update all binaries in all relevant directories. best you make a new nav installation and test your database with the new installed nav.

    Hi Alexander,

    Thank you for your reply!

Yes, it happened for all the users for random pages. And 2-3 times per day. We ask microsoft partner to check, but one week pass, no result.

Does it happens for all the users for random pages? There might be issues with your server hard drive where the system is stored, or some issues with SQL database itself... I recommend to run dbcheck for SQL database to ensure there are not inconsistencies.
